Position: Customs Clearance officer
Role
Customs Clearance
- Responsible for managing clearance of all import shipments.
- Perform and implement all custom clearance activities such as following upcoming Shipments, documents transactions and day-to-day related activities in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures.
- Obtaining required approvals for shipment clearance with respective ministries and PIA. Regular visits are required to ministry offices.
- Dealing with clearance agents to manage the shipment clearance.
- Submitting requests and obtaining approvals from Ministry of information
- Suggesting plans and programs that strive to improve the effectiveness of the Customs Clearance Section.
- Examining invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
- Managing the export documents for export shipments.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role.
- Proven work experience in managing the shipment clearance in Kuwait.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (Arabic is must)
- Available to work extended hours.
- Familiar with Kuwait ministries like PIA which regulate the import shipments and Ministry of information.
- Have complete knowledge to prepare all import permits from the Ministry, PIA and all import custom related documents.
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: KD500.000 - KD650.000 per month
