As the Frontend Team Lead, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the direction and efficiency of our frontend development efforts. You'll lead by example, fostering a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your influence will extend beyond the frontend team, as you'll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Tech Leads to ensure alignment and a shared vision.
What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled frontend developers, driving their growth and fostering a positive work environment.
Collaborate with Tech Leads and the Head of Development to define and execute the frontend technical strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall company objectives.
Act as an advocate for breaking down barriers and increasing clarity both within the frontend team and across departments.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between frontend developers, Product Managers, Designers, and other cross-functional teams.
Keep an oversight of sprint tasks, spot potential risks or delays at an early stage and inform stakeholders (product managers, product designers, backend, etc.) proactively and regularly about the progress and potential blockers/delays.
Lead efforts to improve and standardize frontend development processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in all deliverables.
Establish, train and maintain processes in coordination with the Tech Leads including - but not limited to - Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, code reviews and PRs, and agile development. Ensure that support documents and Wiki articles are up to date buy sniffing out stale or outdated content and bring this to the attention of respective content owners.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance team performance.
Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them overcome challenges and fostering their professional growth.
Collaborate with employee experience in the hiring process, identifying and recruiting top talent to strengthen the frontend team.
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the team.
We are looking for someone with
- Proven experience (3+ years) in frontend development with a strong grasp of modern web technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Previous leadership or management experience, with a track record of successfully leading and developing agile teams.
- You are capable to translate seamlessly back and forth the needs, wants and problems of all stakeholders inside and outside of the development team.
- You care about personal relationships as much as you care about well written and maintainable/long-lasting code.
- You describe yourself as people person with strong communication skills who’s actively giving and seeking constructive and well-intended feedback.
What you can expect
