  • Scope and General Purpose of Job: To function as the Operational Manager ensuring the restaurant operates successfully and profitably, according to international standards.
  • Responsible to: General Director/ Group Operations Manager
  • Responsible for:
  • General Accountant
  • Cost / Income Audit
  • Assistant Managers
  • Supervisors – Bar and Service
  • All Other Outlet Team members
  • Shared Responsibility: Kitchen Team

Operations
  • Oversees the preparation and update of training materials
  • Holds regular communication meetings and daily briefings
  • Ensures daily smooth restaurant operation and fully manages all aspects of the restaurant in the absence of the GD.
  • Ensures all menus are correct and presentable.
  • Reviews quarterly, all beverage lists: wine, cocktails, coffee, smoothies’ juices, etc.
  • Monitors social media sites (Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor) for guest feedback. Responds and then works with the team to problem solves issues and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Monitors online scores on social media sites, puts action plans together to improve standings and scores.
  • Create and maintains daily reports on revenues, customer service issues, team issues, large bookings and distributes to the Directors daily.

Customer Service

  • Ensures that all team members deliver a high level of guest service at all times.
  • Works with the assistant manager and supervisors to train team members in guest service skills.
  • Handles all customer issues and queries in a polite and efficient manner, ensuring problems are resolved properly and within reasonable time frames.
  • Reports customer issues to the general manager and director.
  • Creates positive guest and team interactions, ensures good working relations using a professional and calm manner at all times.
  • Maintains relationships with regular guests and acts as the face of the restaurant using an engaging manner.

Financial

  • Manages and approves the P&L report process together with the Accounting team.
  • Maximises team productivity using flexible rostering to keep staff costs at minimum while still balancing expectations of all guests.
  • Ensures that the restaurant is operated in line with maximising profit while still offering delivering excellent service.
  • Manages cost proactively based on business levels, always with a mind to the most efficient operation.
  • Ensures that cash and credit cards are handled correctly and a method is in place to double check daily revenues
  • Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of equipment and other assets.
  • Prepares and manages purchase orders.

Marketing

  • Champions the creation, implementation and continual update of the Restaurant Marketing Plan, and working closely with the Directors.
  • Observes local, national and international F&B trends, vendors and other venues ensuring the restaurant is always innovating and at the forefront of the market.
  • Encourages team members to promote the restaurant in a professional manner especially using social media to increase awareness and revenues.
  • Actively manages the restaurants social media pages, ensuring customers are quickly replied to within approved timeframes, reputation damaging posts are acted quickly upon to minimise risks to the company, and positive posts are promoted.
  • Creates and maintains a database of event management companies and builds relationships with them to create opportunities for business.
  • Creates and maintains a database of regular guests including emails and phone numbers for the purpose of communicating special offers / events.

Yêu cầu công việc:

  • Shows effective management and behaviour at all times always appropriately representing the restaurant.
  • Has an impeccable level of personal grooming.
  • Diploma / Degree in Hospitality specializing in Food and Beverage or Restaurant Management is preferred
  • 5 years prior experience is similar role/capacity at luxury hotels/resorts/restaurants
  • Working knowledge of POS systems (e.g. MICROS)
  • Management skill; Leadership skill.
